Samuel Smith is one of the few remaining independent. Tastes of sweet chocolate syrup, whipped cream, roasted caramel malts, vanilla & marshmallows.
One would think that a chocolate, sweet stout would be heavy, and some are, but not Samuel Smith's.
You'll want a drinkably dry finish but a bit less bittering to help accentuate the chocolate aspect.
