Propane Regulator Sizing Chart
Propane Regulator Sizing Chart. Second stage propane regulators are only designed to operate in combination with first stage propane regulators. This is the standard propane pressure delivered to household appliances so that they can safely and properly operate.
When determining the regulator you need for you grill (or any LP gas appliance), you need to know the total BTUs of the appliance or the total BTUs that you are planning to use with the regulator. If the gas regulator is too large, too much gas will flow into the appliance and may cause an explosion. Note: For use with North America applications and installations only.
But all in all, we suggest that you select as follows: to install, maintain, or service a gas pressure regulator.
Figures shown in this chart represent average values.
This section begins with the basic theory of a regulator and ends with conversion tables and other informative charts. Some are single stage and others are two stage. Please use decimals when entering fractions.
