Strawberry Whipped Cream Cake
Strawberry Whipped Cream Cake. Turn off the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together into a mixing bowl; set aside.
Combine the cream and vanilla extract in a bowl, give it a stir and set aside. Cream the butter and sugar, then beat in the egg whites and vanilla extract. In a separate, large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, vegetable oil and melted butter until well combined.
Add eggs to a mixer bowl over a double boiler filled with hot water.
In a large bowl, beat sugar, gelatin, and butter until fluffy.
The trick: chill the bowl and the mixer attachments before making this frosting. Frost the entire cake with remaining plain whipped cream. The strawberries will mix with the Jell-o better if they're not rock hard, and the Cool Whip will incorporate better if it's a little soft.
