Old Fashioned Chocolate Pie
Old Fashioned Chocolate Pie. It will scorch and pop bubbles that will scald you if you leave it. It may seem like it's not thickening properly but don't worry, it will almost immediately as you continue cooking it on the stovetop for a few minutes.
Carefully add a few pies at a time to hot oil and cook until browned on one side, flip and brown on the other. The filling is made with simple ingredients. Slowly pour hot chocolate mixture into egg/sugar mixture while whisking continuously, so as not to cook the eggs.
Stir together sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt in medium bowl.
Once you begin cooking the filling, you cannot leave the stove for any reason.
Fill with pie weights, dried beans or uncooked rice. Whisk together with a wire whisk mixing well. This old-fashioned chocolate pie filling has a rich, creamy taste and texture that is similar to pudding.
